Charlie Chance just can’t catch a break. The poor cartoon character was first featured in Charlie Chance in Hell to Pay, a retro-style slot machine released last year. In this sequel, he is back in the underworld, and a bunch of new features have been introduced to the mix – including a brand new XREELZ mechanic that can boost your winnings significantly.
The new Charlie Chance slot has five reels, three rows and 243 ways to win, which is a major change from the first title. At the core of the game is the new XREELZ mechanic which comes into play every time you win with a wild. Whenever a win includes a wild symbol, a multiplier reel appears above the reels. In the base game, this reel can reward you with a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier.
The second major feature is the free spins bonus, which is triggered by landing three or more scatters. During free spins, two things happen: the XREELZ multiplier is activated on one reel on each spin, and any wilds that land will remain on the reels for the full bonus, changing position between each spin.
If you trigger the scatter with three scatters, the XREELZ reel will show the standard 2x, 3x and 5x multipliers. But the multipliers can become way more potent if you trigger the bonus with four or five scatters. There are three different levels of free spins:
- Three scatters trigger Flaming Free Spins with 2x, x3 and 5x XREELZ multipliers
- Four scatters trigger Inferno Free Spins with 5x, 6x and 8x XREELZ multipliers

Charlie Chance is a high volatility slot that offers a max win of 20,000x. The highest win potential is available in the Hellfire Free Spins bonus, triggered by hitting five scatters.
