Casino Hold’em for beginners part one: Rules and variations

09/10/2020

Casino Hold’em is a casino poker game based on Texas Hold’em. The game was introduced in the late 1990s and is popular among casino players and poker enthusiasts alike. In this part of our Casino Hold’em for beginners guide, we will give you an introduction to the rules and payouts.

Casino Hold’em Rules

Casino Hold’em is a fast-paced poker game that is played with a single deck of cards. The game is based on Texas Hold’em, and like most casino poker games, the aim is to beat the dealer by having the best poker hand at the end of the round. The main difference between Texas Hold’em and Casino Hold’em is that the latter is played against a dealer instead of other players. Furthermore, the player has only two options: to fold the cards or raise the bet. Casino Hold’em is a simple game that is easy to learn – whether you have never played a hand of poker in your life or consider yourself a pro.

Here’s how the game is played. At the beginning of each round, the player places an initial bet. This is called the Ante bet. Once the Ante has been accepted, the player and the dealer receive two cards, and three shared community cards are placed on the table. After the cards have been dealt, the player can choose to either fold their cards and forfeit the ante bet or play to continue playing. The play bet is equal to double the Ante bet. If the player chooses to continue, the last two cards are dealt and both hands go to showdown.

Note that in Casino Hold’em, payouts depend on whether the dealer qualifies or not. The dealer must have a pair of fours or higher to qualify. If you have the best hand and the dealer qualifies, you win both the Ante and play bets. But if the dealer does not qualify, you win the Ante bet, but the play bet is a push. Additionally, the Ante bet payouts are based on the quality of your poker hand. The better the hand, the more you will win.
